इंडियन प्रीमियर लीग 2018 के लिए खिलाड़ियों की नीलामी खत्म हो गई । सभी फ्रेंचाइजियों ने 18 से 25 के बीच खिलाड़ियों को अपने टीम में शामिल कर लिया है। आठों फ्रंचाइजी टीमों ने 169 खिलाड़ी खरीदे, जिसमें 113 भारतीय रहे, तो 56 विदेशी खिलाड़ी रहे । टीमों ने मिलकर कुल 431.70 करोड़ रुपये नीलामी के लिए खर्च किए । इंग्लैंड के बेन स्टोक्स और भारत के जयदेव उनादकट इस नीलामी के सबसे महंगे खिलाड़ी साबित हुए । आईपीएल सीजन 2018 की नीलामी में बेन स्टोक्स सबसे महंगे खिलाड़ी रहे हैं, जिन्हें राजस्थान रॉयल्स ने 12.5 करोड़ में खरीदा है । वहीं जयदेव उनादकट दूसरे महंगे क्रिकेटर रहे, जिन्हें राजस्थान ने 11.5 करोड़ में खरीदा है । वेस्टइंडीज के धुरंधर बल्लेबाज क्रिस गेल को भी आखिरकार खरीदार मिल ही गया। गेल को किंग्स इलेवन पंजाब ने दो करोड़ में खरीदा।
